Perinatal Mental Health Workshop Series: From Policy to Practice

October 15 - November 12

Across low-and-middle income countries, the case for perinatal mental health is increasingly well made. What comes next is harder: how do you actually build integrated perinatal mental healthcare inside maternal and child health services that are already stretched?

From Policy to Practice is a five-part online workshop series for the people responsible for making integration happen: ministry officials, maternal and newborn programme managers, mental health programme managers and district health managers, NGOs supporting MCH and reproductive health services, development partners and researchers across the region.

Session Topics Include:

  1. Introduction to perinatal mental health with a focus on low resource settings
  2. How to integrate perinatal mental health into MCH services
  3. Detection and screening, referral and resource mapping
  4. Evidence-based psychosocial interventions and workforce development
  5. Quality improvement, scaling and sustaining

These are workshops, not webinars. Sessions include breakout discussions, live polls, and a case example from colleagues implementing this work in their settings. By the end of this series, participants will have a clear overview of what is needed to develop an implementation plan for your own context. The group’s shared learnings will also be compiled and sent to participants afterwards.

Learn more and register. Registration will close on Friday, October 9.
